Gay pride 2011 à Toulouse

It seems appropriate that as our country awaits this month’s anticipated Supreme Court ruling that will decide once and for all whether same-sex marriage is a constitutionally protected right, it also celebrates LGBT pride. Each June, cities from coast to coast – and some internationally – recognize pride and bolster LGBT rights movements through parades and marches, rallies and commemorations, parties and festivals.

So this month, the Gloria Sirens will also celebrate pride. Pride in the LGBT community and its ever-growing list of letters representing marginalized communities – Queer, Intersex, Asexual. Pride in loving whomever you happen to love. Pride in being yourself.
